Ph.D. in Language Sciences —
Independent Researcher
My academic journey has been shaped less by the boundaries between disciplines than by the problems I sought to understand and solve.
My initial training in foreign languages applied to international business led me to explore different disciplines and different levels of analysis from an early stage. This approach has continued in my research, at the intersection of language sciences and management sciences.
My work on the effects of an international reporting framework on organisational discourse combines a corpus linguistics methodology with frameworks from management sciences, particularly stakeholder theory and organisational legitimacy.
This approach allows me to examine the same phenomenon from different angles and to analyse its linguistic, organisational, and institutional dimensions.
One question,
multiple fields
For several years, my work has explored how broader transformations manifest themselves in specific frameworks, organisations, and practices, and how actors navigate these changes.
This line of inquiry continues today in the world of research. My work focuses on the transformations of frameworks within which research is funded, evaluated, and valorised; on how these frameworks circulate among the different levels of the research system; and on how actors interpret and appropriate them.
My scholarly work is also grounded in my experience in training and supporting research communities.
Throughout my career, I have worked with frameworks both as objects of research and as tools used in practice. This dual experience allows me to analyse their underlying logic while taking into account the concrete situations in which practitioners must understand, interpret, and use them.
It is this integration of research and practice that now forms the foundation of Explicita, where I conduct independent research and provide consulting and training services to researchers.
